Noon Meem Rashid is a progressive movement Urdu poet in Pakistan. He belongs to a Janjua family in Alipur Chatta in Gujranwala. He got his master’s degree in economics from G.C University Lahore. During the second world war, he served in the Royal Indian Army and later retired as Captain.
After the 1947 independence, he joined All India Radio and worked in Lucknow, New Delhi, etc. Later, he shifted to Peshawar, where he worked for six years. Getting a job at Voice of America was his dream which came to appear. After a short time, he worked in Iran and the United Nations.
